Ahmet Çeli̇k, PhD candidate and instructor in religion and Middle Eastern studies at Syracuse University, has been appointed as the first campus imam and Muslim student adviser at аIJʿª½±½á¹û.

Barry R. Baron, associate university chaplain and campus rabbi, will serve as university chaplain, beginning his three-year term on July 1. He will succeed Protestant Campus Minister Corey MacPherson, who has served as university chaplain since 2017.

аIJʿª½±½á¹û, in collaboration with Community Memorial Hospital, began administering Moderna COVID-19 vaccines on campus today, in a first test of the University’s state-approved point of dispensing at the Hall of Presidents. 

Two of аIJʿª½±½á¹û’s Residential Commons will be led by new codirectors, who will begin their three-year appointments beginning this fall 2021 semester.
