Members of the аIJʿª½±½á¹û classes of 2022–25 will now benefit from an additional expansion of the University’s no-loan initiative under the аIJʿª½±½á¹û Commitment.

On June 1, аIJʿª½±½á¹û announced the аIJʿª½±½á¹û Commitment: An Initiative in Access and Affordability.

аIJʿª½±½á¹û’s admission team has put the University’s Plan for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion into bold action, with impressive results.

During its spring meeting, the аIJʿª½±½á¹û Board of Trustees approved a series of appointments to endowed professorships, effective July 1, 2021.

аIJʿª½±½á¹û’s administration and faculty are drawing on national best practices and creating their own innovative approaches to increasing diversity, equity, and inclusion in tenure-stream hiring.  

Laura Jack, vice president for communications, will serve as acting CDO, providing coordination and oversight for DEI initiatives while the search for a permanent hire continues.

In its first year, аIJʿª½±½á¹û’s no-loan initiative awarded more than $1.5 million to students.

Daniel Benton ’80, P’10, H’10 has secured his place as аIJʿª½±½á¹û’s most generous benefactor, making a $25 million gift in support of the University’s Middle Campus Plan for Arts, Creativity, and Innovation and other elements within The Third-Century Plan.

аIJʿª½±½á¹û announced the creation of two endowed faculty chairs that will support teaching and research in areas important to The Third-Century Plan.

Filmmaker Julie Cohen ’86 has found joy in documenting the lives of women, making her an ideal guest speaker during аIJʿª½±½á¹û’s yearlong 50th anniversary celebration of coeducation.
