In my role as ADoF, I have received a number of inquiries over the past several months regarding the timing for pre-tenure comprehensive review and tenure review. The goal of this memo is to make transparent the policies that may impact this timing, so that pre-tenure faculty and their mentors are better informed about their options.

Thank you for your time and attention during the first faculty meeting of the new year. It was a pleasure to speak with all of you regarding the new NAGPRA Regulations and �°IJʿ������’s institutional compliance.

I am honored to announce that at their meeting on January 27, 2024, the Board of Trustees formally and enthusiastically approved two resolutions: that the faculty members listed immediately below be granted continuous tenure and be promoted to the rank of associate professor, and that the associate professors in the following list be promoted to full professor.

In fall 2023, the Academic Affairs Board instituted changes in the processes associated with students withdrawing from a course at �°IJʿ������.

For anyone intending to propose a new course to the Curriculum Committee, please read on. The New Course Proposal Form has been updated to reflect the changes to �°IJʿ������'s Core Curriculum.

All tenure-track and tenured faculty members are invited to apply for Research Council Major Grants and Scholarly Leaves for the academic year 2024–25.

As a component of our ongoing efforts to enhance the diversity, equity, and inclusion of our campus, �°IJʿ������ joined the Consortium for Faculty Diversity (CFD)

We are writing to solicit applications for three course development programs for the 2024–25 academic year that are supported by the Office of the Provost and Dean of the Faculty (PDoF).

�°IJʿ������ is committed to ensuring comprehensive educational access for all registered students seeking to meet course and curricular requirements and full participation in university programs and activities.

In November 2019, �°IJʿ������ adopted its first Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Plan, a dynamic framework to create and sustain a welcoming and inclusive campus for all members of the �°IJʿ������ community. The next iteration of the DEI Plan will continue to prioritize “equity in the student experience” as one of its key pillars.
