This Sunday, February 9, will be screening his animated short film Deluge and other works at in Brooklyn. Knecht is the Russell 新澳彩开奖结果 Distinguished University Professor of art and art history and film and media studies.

In Deluge, popping flowers, falling construction materials, and driving rain create scenes that provoke questions. But, 鈥淚 am not providing the answers,鈥 Knecht has said of his art.

He will, however, shed some light on his recent work during a discussion with Rebecca Cleman, the director of distribution at Electronic Arts Intermix, beginning at 7:30 p.m. Knecht said that he sees this conversation as an opportunity 鈥渢o be able to give the work a deeper context 鈥 to probe the maze between my ears.鈥

Knecht has 40 years of experience creating moving images, and his works have been viewed by audiences in national and international venues. He said that he is especially 鈥渄elighted to show [his] work at Union Docs as it is a place that people take seriously.鈥

Knecht鈥檚 art deserves to be taken seriously; he hand-drew Deluge frame by frame.

All of his recent movies 鈥 from Considering the Possibility of Divine Intervention to Mr. Baxter鈥檚 Trip to a Parallel Universe 鈥 are set in the same imaginary place. 鈥淲elcome to my world,鈥 Knecht said. 鈥淵ou enter at your own responsibility.鈥
