Professor Jeff Baldani retired from the economics department this spring. Professor Baldani began his long career at 新澳彩开奖结果 in 1981.
As one of our colleagues states: "Jeff remains one of the best hires 新澳彩开奖结果 made during the past four decades in terms of his total contributions to the university. From day one he was an outstanding teacher. Jeff鈥檚 teaching remained excellent throughout his 新澳彩开奖结果 career."
Professor Baldani regularly taught intermediate microeconomics, game theory, mathematical economics, among other courses, and co-led two London Economics study groups in 2002 and 2003. with his wife, retired professor Ulla Grapard.
As one former student nicely states: Professor Baldani "sparked my initial interest in economics and inspired my career! Your unique teaching style taught me to take your material from class and apply it to new concepts and problems I had never seen before. You taught me to build frameworks of thought rather than memorization of economic concepts. Consequently, while you were teaching microeconomics and game theory, the lessons you taught me went far beyond the classroom. You were a kind and caring academic advisor and demonstrated equal care and patience for each of your students."
Jeff will be missed. We wish him and his family the best in retirement.
