How Practical Is Renewable Energy?: A Lecture and Discussion with Michael Shellenberger

Climate and environmental activist Michael Shellenberger will host a lecture and discussion on sustainable energy and climate change titled “How Practical is Renewable Energy?” on Nov. 29, sponsored by the Center for Freedom and Western Civilization

Shellenberger is founder and president of , an independent nonprofit research organization with a focus on expanding nuclear energy and saving endangered wildlife. He has been a climate and environmental activist for more than 30 years and has worked to help save nuclear reactors around the world, including in New York State, Illinois, South Korea, and Taiwan.

The event takes place at 4:30 p.m. in Persson Hall Auditorium and is open to the public. Those who are unable to attend in person may . 

”Michael Shellenberger is a courageous voice in addressing the practical challenges of transitioning from fossil fuels to green energy,” said Political Science Professor Robert Kraynak, who serves as co-director of °IJʿ's Center for Freedom and Western Civilization.
